I Look to You is the long awaited sixth studio album by American R&B recording artist Whitney Houston. It was first announced in March 2007 by Clive Davis who revealed that the singer would be heading into the studio to record her first studio album in almost 7 years. It will be released first in Germany by Sony Music on August 28, 2009 before being released in United States on August 31 Arista Records and in the UK on October 19, 2009 by RCA.

The album will be a mixture of big ballads and 80's dance music, reminiscent of her past hits like "I Wanna Dance With Somebody". According to Clive Davis, the album is not aiming to fit Houston into the current music market, but is instead remaining true to who she is, and the impact she has made on the record industry. The roster of producers and writers includes Swizz Beatz, Johnta Austin, Alicia Keys, R. Kelly, Harvey Mason, Jr., and Akon who is also the only guest vocalist on the album.

On July 9, 2009 American television broadcaster ABC announced that in the week during the album's release Houston will perform at the 'Fall Concerts' series on its headline show Good Morning America to promote the new album and it is expected that the lead single "Million Dollar Bill" will be performed for the first time.

VA - The Complete Motown Singles Vol. 11B 1971 (Box Set) 2009

Artist: VA
Title Of Album: The Complete Motown Singles, Vol. 11B: 1971
Year Of Release: March 3, 2009
Label: Hip-O Select
Genre: Soul, Oldies, Pop, R&B
Quality: MP3 / Joint Stereo
Bitrate: VBR kbit/s / 44.1 Khz
Total Time: 383:08 min
Total Size: 413 mb

Product Description
The eleventh volume of Hip-O-Select's exhaustive survey of Motown's single releases is divided into two parts. This, the second in the series, is a mammoth five-CD set documenting Motown's output in the latter half of 1971, and captures the label as it made the transition from the Holland-Dozier-Holland masterminded pop opuses of the mid-`60s to a more progressive artist-directed aesthetic. This set includes remarkable solo releases from Motown heavy hitters like Eddie Kendricks, David Ruffin, Marvin Gaye, and Diana Ross. Gaye's landmark "Inner City Blues," from WHAT'S GOIN' ON, may be the set's most familiar number, but attentive listeners will find particular delight in the wealth of forgotten gems on display here, including outstanding numbers from acts like The Originals, Valerie Simpson, and the unjustly overlooked deep soul powerhouse Virgil Henry.

A brilliant collection of contemporary soul - one that shows that the underground is alive and well, and churning out some really fantastic music in recent years! The package is a great antidote to overplayed chart soul - and focuses on both new and experience artists bubbling under the mainstream - all singers who can put over a tune with class, confidence, and a heck of a lot of soul! As with the best Neo Soul work, there's a classic vibe running through all the tracks here - a focus on the core elements that make a soul tune great - wonderful vocals, well-delivered lyrics, and seductive rhythms - spun out beautifully on cuts that include "Lost Paradise" by Jua, "Can't Settle For Less" by Tracey Harris, "At Times" by Razzberry, "I'm Staying Home Tonight" by Ashanti Munir, "On My Mind" by Trish Andrews, "Never Say Never" by Woody Cunningham, "Tongue Tide" by Lisa Zure, "Where Do We Go From Here" by Antoinette, "India" by Eddie Sea, "Living For Today" by LeNora Jaye, and "Saying Less" by Nash Reed. © 1996-2009, Dusty Groove America, Inc.

10. You Might Win
11. I Get Lifted

Kem plays his soul-and-jazz-juiced R&B like a man who has lived through more than most of us, and indeed he has: As fans who have followed the back story since his 2003 debut, Kemistry, know, he's an artist who was once reduced to sleeping on Detroit park benches while battling addiction. With the release of Album II, though, the sad stories need circulate no longer—all that's required to get swept up, off, and away by these tracks is a taste for solid R&B minus the hip-hop sideshow. Coaxing vocal cords more pliable than the face of Jim Carey into unexpected directions, the Chaka Khan sound-alike—who also occasionally ventures into George Benson territory—showers tenderness over each of these songs, sauntering into some notes with suave sophistication and sneaking up on others. Though "I Can't Stop Lovin' You" is the song throwing sparks amongst the quiet storm crowd, check his stretchy tenor on "Into You" and "I'm in Love," both so deeply felt they'll send the lovelorn swooning. --Tammy La Gorce
